Harris Tweed is produced from 100% pure new wool that is woven by hand in the crofters’ cottages in the Western Isles of Scotland, as it has been since 1846.
Only if the tweed fabric meets the specification of the Harris Tweed Authority can the Orb label be granted. It is protected by an Act of Parliament which was passed in 1993.
Every jacket we produce contains an Orb label with a reference number which relates to the weaver that produced the tweed.
